Dr Patrick Masokwane is the Director of Health Inspectorate at the Ministry of Health. In the board he is the lead in Therapeutic Use Exemption. He has worked for 11 years as a clinician and over 12 years as a healthcare regulator in the Ministry of Health headquarters. Dr Masokwane has also been the Acting Director of Health Services in the past. He is dually registered in Botswana Health Professions Council as a General Medical and Public Health Practitioner.
In addition to his health professional credentials, Dr Masokwane has qualifications of Masters of Medical Law and Ethics and a Fellowship of the International Society of Quality and Healthcare, which are valuable for his functions in the board. Dr Masokwane has certifications in Therapeutic Use Exemption from World Anti- Doping Organisation and Certificate of Drugs Use in Sports from the International Olympic Committee.
